Department of Labor
Idaho Business
Registration Form (IBR-1): This joint registration form is
provided by Idaho Department of Labor, Idaho State Tax Commission and
Idaho Industrial Commission. Idaho employers and businesses making
retail sales must submit the form to apply for an Idaho tax withholding
account, register unemployment insurance accounts, and apply for sales
and use tax accounts. Submitting the form also informs the Industrial
Commission about your business. The form may be completed and submitted
at https://labor.idaho.gov/applications/ibrs/ibr.aspx.
Note: completing the form does NOT register your business name or entity
type.
Quarterly Payroll
Reports: Once registered for unemployment insurance coverage, an
employer must file
quarterly reports and remit payments. During the last week of each quarter Idaho Department of Labor mails report forms to all
known covered employers.
New Hire Reporting: Idaho employers are required to report
newly hired employees and those who are rehired after an absence of 12
months or more to the Department of Labor within 20 days of the date of hire.
IDOL uses the information to locate parents who fail to pay child
support. For information on New Hire
reporting, visit https://labor.idaho.gov/applications/newhire/.

the company's personnel files. It is extremely
important that you have a completed I-9 for every employee. If an inspector

form.
