Information on industry-specific and
occupation-specific licenses, permits, and regulations can be found by
doing a search of the Business Wizard. Idaho
does not issue a state business license nor does the state require
occupational licenses for every profession. To find out
if your specific business activity or occupation requires a license or is regulated in
some way, visit the Business Wizard. After
answering five questions, you will receive a customized checklist of
agencies to contact with links to their websites.

City and County Business Licenses: In addition to the
licensing
requirements listed in the
Business Wizard, your business may be regulated by city and/or county laws
specific to your business location. Contact your
local City or County Clerk or Recorder's office to find out if you need a

Taxes: Most businesses must
pay taxes, including city, county, state, and federal taxes. Visit
the taxes section of this site to learn more about
the taxes your business may be required to pay. You will also find a tax
calendar listing the dates payments are due.
